Hello Tariq,

I guess you are talking about the one under your Profile(when logged in), correct? It is how often you can request lost password from the Front End. Note that system will send you an email with a link following which you'll get an email with new password. The main purpose of Password reset interval is to prevent spamming on your site. Also, each you can change the interval as they like.

Thank you.

Hello Dmitry,

and thanks for the reply

So, if the user set it to "5" for an example, what will happen if someone tried more than 5 times, will the account be locked or downgraded?

Thanks again.

Hi again,

Well, not really. The way it works - first time when you request a reset password you'll get a confirmation email with the link from the system. Once you click on that link your password will be automatically regenerated and emailed to you momentarily. Now, in case if you haven't got any emails because you are not the owner of that In-portal account and obviously don't have an access to an email specified on the account - system it will give an error saying in case if you'll try to reset the password again. So the interval is a time in minutes between first time you requested the reset and next time you'll be allowed to do so. This is done purely for anti-spamming.

Please feel free to let me know if you still have any questions about this.

Thanks.
