Ok...in the admin panel, how do I switch and edit the templates from "read only"? In other words, if I edit a template, I can't save it.

Hello Sparky,

You need to change permissions on the whole "/themes" folder including all sub-folders and file to 777 (world wide), so it will be writable from the web.

chmod 770 or 775 should do it in most cases.
